Bailey 0237
Everything is going well with Bailey, shes been holding a good weight at 57 lbs from our vet appointment about 2 weeks ago.Sleep I would say is normal, tends to sleep till noon or 1 pm with me since I'm on nights. Her exercise is plentiful, she usually gets walked about 3 times a day for about a mile or so. plus shes a play baby so is constantly chasing her ball around the house. she's tends to be very protective of both me and jill.Shes been showing separation anxiety when I have to leave but weve been working on that. Since we feel shes finally acclimated to the house and neighborhood we began command training, shes getting better with listening and attentiveness.
Charlie 0184 The first time I saw Charlie's face I knew he was the one for us. So many things told us that he was our boy. Casey is our beauty we lost last year.ÂHis vet was Dr Charlie. He was an amazing vet and he still is. Charlie is an amazing dog. I spent a lot of time this morning going through the photos and stories from the Big Cypress Rescue. His among so many others broke my heart. I can't imagine the lives that some of these puppers have had. I can't imagine what would've been their story had it not been for this amazing Rescue. Every day I am so grateful that Charlie waited for us and that we chose him. Every time I look at him I feel Casey telling me, see I told you this is your guy mom. We are so grateful for so many people involved in the rescue of Charlie & every other pup they can. We thank you all. He is a total rockstar. And we love him too.ÃÂ
Arie 0253 We have had Arie for over a month now and she is definitely coming into her own. She is very protective of her new house and patrols the property any chance she gets. She loves swimming in the pool and wrestling with her younger brother Koda. She enjoys napping next to him as well as her older brother steel. We are so pleased to see how happy she has become and all the energy she is able to burn off playing in the yard. She was truly a blessing for our family!
Blue Bailey Puppy 0247 Blue’s name is Tito and he loves all toys and his food/training treats. I’ve taught him sit, down, paw, other paw, and roll over! He’s super smart but is really food motivated. My husband built him a really nice, large wooden crate, so he is crate trained. He’s adjusted to my work schedule very well, almost too well that when the weekend rolls around, he wants to eat his breakfast and go on his morning walk at 4:30 am ð but he will go back to sleep after that, thankfully! He loves the cold tile and ice in his water too! And squeakers! He also loves to go “bye-byes” with me in the car. He’s had a couple of really great weeks. There were some biting and growling issues earlier on but he knows “no biting” and sits for a treat now. We also haven’t had any potty accidents in the house for quite a while and he knows to ring the bells to go out the back door. He loves all creatures, humans and animals alike! We are finally getting our large backyard fenced in too so he will be happy about that!
Tito loves our black cat, but she really doesn’t care for him still. She tolerates him, but that’s about it! She stays hidden for most of the day, and then wants outside at night so there really isn’t any conflict between them. Tito just wants to play.
Thank you so much for giving me what was missing in my life. He’s a handful sometimes but I have heard from other people who have met him who have dogs of their own that he is so good and well behaved for a puppy. I really am thankful to have stumbled upon him when I did!

Arya 0172 Pupdate on baby Arya and all the progress that she has made.
She is about to turn 14 months old next week she is no longer the skinny, shy little puppy anymore. We believe she is full grown now and maybe will fill out a little more but won't get any taller. She weighs 53 pounds and has a strong body. She is able to run and jump with ease. Her hip issues have worked themselves out and we do not need to do any surgery for her at this time.
We went to the University of Florida and saw an orthopedic surgeon there. He gave Arya a full and extensive exam under anesthesia and tried to manipulate her hips to replicate what he would do for full hip replacement surgery. He determined that she was not a good candidate for the surgery and would most likely not have a successful outcome. Since she has quality of life, plays, runs and jumps with ease, he said that she is not in pain and can continue as is for as long as she can do everything that she wants to do. Perhaps when she gets old, there might be a chance that they will do a less invasive surgery to make sure her bones are not rubbing when she runs. Right now there is good movement of her joints and hips.
We are truly grateful for Arya. She is training to be Cara's service dog and already has mastered many tasks. She loves to work and is very well behaved in the various public places that Cara takes her to. They had a bond from the very beginning and she is such a special dog.
We love her very much and are so happy she is part of our family. I wish you well and continued success with the important work that you do. You are saving so many lives and doing such good in this world.
From all of us, we wish you all the very best.
